Client Premise Equipment Options

Client Premise Equipment is sized to get the job done.  Depending on location you may be able to access our network directly with a WIFI enabled laptop.  However, for assurance of quality service and for more remote areas we provide you with four options ranging from our diminutive and low cost "Loud Mouth II" to our high gain “Elephant” – We recommend that you get our assistance in selecting and installing the most appropriate equipment.  If you choose, we will install the equipment and perform routine maintenance such as firmware upgrades on your behalf to make sure you have a reliable connection - this is recommended.  Click on the pics below to see actual photos of the equipment.  We also provide 5GHz client equipment for commercial installations where bandwidth and reliability are critical.

NEW! LEVEL 1 ‘LOUD MOUTH-II’ $125 + $50 installation

A loud mouth can be heard all over the place.  Loud Mouth-II can be used for distances up to 3km (2 miles) from our tower. What you get is an all in one 10dBi gain antenna and leading edge and price buster Ubiquity NanoStation2 unit that can be either wall mounted or roof mounted with our supplied bracket or 3ft roof-mount tripod. Connection is via our Cat5 exterior grade ethernet cable with Power Over Ethernet (POE) injector terminating inside your house with a wall mount green RJ-45 ethernet plug, and ethernet patch cable (green) to your router or switch, or crossover cable (red) to wire direct to your computer (length to suit).

NEW! LEVEL 2 ‘MEGAPHONE-II’ $250 NOW $175 + $50 installation (Discount applies as of Oct. 5, 2010)

For installations requiring more range than Talker or Loudmouth II.  Megaphone-II is has a stronger radio and is more affordable than the original Megaphone (CPQ-19) by Tranzeo.  Megaphone II uses a high performance  Ubiquity PS2 or PS5 CPE that features 18dBi or 22dBi antenna and handy indicator lights to show signal strength. The enclosed Ubiquity radio is also 400mw, providing robust signal strength for up to 7 km (4 miles).

Most Megaphone units will require roof mount for optimal signal reception, and so we will include a 3ft or 5ft roof mount tripod and extension in the package if needed.

LEVEL 3 ‘ELEPHANT’ $275 + $75 installation

Elephants can communicate with each other easily for over 8km (5 mi). Our Elephant package offers the very best in signal gain and receive sensitivity to help you keep connected far off the beaten track.  We have installations operating over 24km (15mi) from the tower with excellent performance.  Our unit features a high gain 24dBi to 29dBi grid antenna which has low wind loading, coupled with a state of the art high performance client radio.
